The performative installation NETZ (Web/Network) is a site specific, community-celebrating work developed for the annual Goldrausch exhibition 2017. My fellow Goldrausch artists were the starting point for my research. Over the course of the exhibition, an initially empty web is filled up through performative interventions with materials collected from the works of my cohort. The web, spanning the entire room, works like an organism processing them. In all its fragility, the installation fluctuates between vessel and membrane, drawing and sculpture. The initially disparate material takes on a new kind of familiarity as part of a unified installation and at the same time appears different, foreign, new.
