What do vending machines dream of when they no longer have to function? What kind of city would emerge if it were imagined by objects rather than designed by humans?

The installation consists of two large-scale AI-generated images that transport common vending machines - like those found on Berlin's U-Bahn platforms - into an uncanny, dreamcore world inhabited by giant squid-like beings, vegetables, and the packaging of nonexistent products. The familiar becomes strange, inviting viewers to imagine the dream life of everyday objects.

In these dreams, the machines reject their role as silent infrastructures of consumption. They gently queer the public space they usually disappear into, claiming agency and becoming visible on their own terms.

Soft, fluid forms disrupt the station's rigid geometries, opening cracks in narratives of order, efficiency, and control. Installed in the everyday environment of the metro station, the images create a subtle glitch in daily life, shifting overlooked objects from the logic of utility into a realm of ambiguity and possibility.
