lost in hong kong (unbalanced)
performing objects, 2020 ongoing series
the series uses a cast made from a water bottle available in Hong Kong (that was once the region's centre of toy manufacturing).
The shapes resemble dolls and hold a mix of organic and anorganic materials; each of them has different performative qualities, blurring the border between the human and non-human worlds. They are little performers, an ensemble of contemporary fossils of a post- pandemic, posthuman times.
