Situated at the boundaries of Installation, Performance Art and Land Art, PROCESSING is a site and culture specific work. It is an everchanging landscape of object and everyday materials already charged with meaning. It is about the constant production and deletion of images blurring and merging into each other, the becoming of things and their infinite possibilities, the feeling of unsettlement we create when we play with the poles of the foreign and the familiar.

PROCESSING is a project by Elisa Duca and Robin Detje and has seen site specific installations in Bangalore (India), the Bangka district of Taipei (Taiwan), Dresden and Berlin (Germany). PROCESSING:BANGALORE was presented at 1 Shanthi Road, in May 2016 as part of the bangaloREsidency of the local Goethe-Institut. PROCESSING:BANGKA was part of the exhibition „Hieroglyphic Memory: Surveying Bangka through Narrative Trace“, curated by Chun-Chi Wang/IDOLONSTUDIO, in December 2016 at Bopiliao Historical Block in Taipei. PROCESSING:ZENTRALWERK was created for the opening of the Kabinett of Zentralwerk art space in Dresden in May 2017, PROCESSING:MOABIT was created and presented at Galerie Nord/Kunstverein Tiergarten in Berlin Moabit.

We are grateful for the support of our assistants Ann-Sophie von Schwartzenberg, Yung Hsiang Chuang and Chris Möller, for curatorial guidance by Suresh Jayaram, Chun-Chi Wang and Anja Kempe.
